We are a woman-founded, minority-owned small business based in Canada, and we pour that identity into everything we create. This brand exists because we know what it feels like to struggle with hair damage from the wrong accessories, and we decided to do something about it.

Our Story

Certified Scrunchie Inc grew out of a personal need. After years of dealing with breakage, tension headaches, and accessories that just weren't made for textured or thick hair, our founder set out to craft something better. Something handmade with care, using fabrics that actually work with your hair instead of against it.

What started as a passion project quickly became a mission. We began showing up at local markets and community events across Canada, meeting customers face to face and hearing their stories. Those conversations shaped everything about how we design, package, and share our scrunchies today.
